Andreas Bourani My new favorite. Check out his song "Auf uns". The Video is amazing!

Casper ... born in Germany, but at 2 weeks old brought back to the States and was raised in Georgia; at age 11 moved back to Germany... had to learn German as a second language, but you'd never know it from his music. Awesome, awesome songs.

Helene Fischer Totally cool, gorgeous, great sound, great music to dance to--she's got a big voice, and if you like singers with quality voices, you'll love Helene Fischer.

Peter Fox
This guy is amazing! The drumline is awesome, the vocals and lyrics are incredible! You HAVE to see the music videos for Alles Neu and Schwarz zu Blau. He is a reggae/hip-hop singer from Berlin, and usually plays with SEEED, another great band. On this album, Stadtaffe, he plays with the Cold Steel Drumline, from NCA&T University! You will love his music!!

Group with female lead singer, pretty cool, I would say their style ranges from alternative rock/alternative pop, sometimes with pretty edgy vocals.

Culcha Candela

This band is awesome--check it out!! Culcha Candela was formed in Berlin in 2001 by founding members Johnny Strange, Itchyban, and Lafrotino. They were later joined by singers Larsito, Mr. Reedoo, Don Cali, and DJ Chino con Estilo. The differing heritages allows for a mixture of lyrics in German, English, Spanish, and Patois. This multiculturalism is evident in their website and music videos. While primarily in German, there are English and Spanish translations on select pages of the website.

Kind of a cross between The Fey/John Mayer/and Train, maybe. Very hip stuff. Clueso, born April 9, 1980 as Thomas Hübner in Erfurt is a German singer, rapper, songwriter and producer. Clueso, named after Inspector Clouseau in The Pink Panther, started making music in 1995. (from Wikipedia)

Die Prinzen
Die Prinzen is a German music group. The band is made up of former members of the Thomanerchor (a choir of the Thomaskirche inLeipzig, Germany, where Johann Sebastian Bach was music director for many years) and a former member of the Dresdner Kreuzchor. The lyrics of their songs are often humorous, tongue-in-cheek critiques of German government or society. The group's most popular singles have been "Gabi und Klaus", "Millionär", "Küssen verboten", "(Du musst ein) Schwein sein", "Mein Fahrrad", "Olli Kahn" (about German star World Cup goalkeeper Oliver Kahn) and "Deutschland". In reference to the group's name and the Brothers Grimm fairy-tale "The Frog Prince", the group's logo is a green frog wearing a crown. The frog logo has appeared in a number of album and single covers. Their hit song "Millionär" appeared in the accompanying video to the German textbooks "Komm Mit" and "Stationen". "Deutschland" is a very cultural and ironic song about everything of Deutschland (Germany). (from Wikipedia)

Wir Sind Helden
